  7. INSTALLATION
  8.  
  9. This Setup program will install SpyCatcher
  10. for you.  You should follow the on-screen
  11. instructions to get through the procedure.
  12. The Setup will allow you to choose the
  13. destination folder for SpyCatcher, and its
  14. program group in your Start menu.  It's not
  15. necessary to change the default settings,
  16. but you are certainly welcome to do so.
  17.  
  18. Setup will create links to SpyCatcher,
  19. SpyCatcher's help system, and the uninstaller
  20. for SpyCatcher in its program group (in
  21. your Start menu).  If you choose to put
  22. SpyCatcher in an existing program group,
  23. please remember that Setup installs more
  24. than just a link to SpyCatcher itself.

  26. If you have a copy of SpyCatcher already
  27. installed on your computer, you may install
  28. directly over it (you don't need to
  29. uninstall it first).
  30.  
  31. If you already use an earlier version of 
  32. GhostSurf, SpyCatcher, or other Tenebril
  33. product, and want to continue to run the 
  34. older product in addition to the 2006 
  35. product, you may do so.  However, your
  36. existing Tenebril products will prompt you 
  37. to re-enter the original order number and 
  38. email address you used to unlock them the
  39. first time.  Enhancements to the licensing
  40. process require the 2005 and older editions
  41. of the Tenebril products to be unlocked 
  42. again.  Notes that this is unnecessary if 
  43. you are replacing one product with another,
  44. such as upgrading GhostSurf Platinum 2005 
  45. to GhostSurf Platinum 2006.  It only comes
  46. into play when running an older Tenebril
  47. product alongside a 2006 edition; for 
  48. instance, if you're running StickyNotes or
  49. GhostSurf 2005 and install SpyCatcher 2006.
  50. After you re-enter your original order number,
  51. the product will unlock and function 
  52. normally.

  55. You can uninstall SpyCatcher easily; it
  56. will create an icon for uninstallation in its
  57. menu group.  If SpyCatcher is running when
  58. you try to uninstall, the uninstaller will
  59. not let you proceed (Windows cannot delete
  60. a running file).  Before uninstalling,
  61. make sure you exit SpyCatcher by choosing
  62. the "Exit" item on its main menu
  63. (right-click its icon in your system tray).
